The Role
Notice of Job Opportunity - Andrew Pietlock is being recommended for the role of Logistics Coordinator II - Pub Sec 342784.
The Lead Logistics Coordinator III – Federal (Warehouse) is responsible for receiving, tracking, shipping, documenting materials for various customers’ programs. Provides backup support to the Warehouse Manager. Oversees daily operations are completed and communicates any issues or escalations needed to the Warehouse Manager.
The Main Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Warehouse Manager with on call schedules and procedures
- Acting Warehouse Manager when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable
- Responsible for overseeing the daily shipping operations are complete and accurate
- Ensures security protocols are followed
- Oversees employees assigned to shipping by Warehouse Manager
- Coordinates all deployment and sustainment outbound shipments
- Handles and maintains flow of materials in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines
- Updates 2 databases when completing the shipping requests
- Maintains accurate shipping records
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- In charge of warehouse supplies inventory
- Responsible for forklift maintenance/safety
- Organizing and filing daily checklists
- Scheduling maintenance
- Keep forklifts charged or fueled
- Maintains accurate shipping records
- Other duties
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Maintains accurate records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items
- Must be flexible to work on call and or shift differential schedules
- May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (fork-lifts, pallet jacks, etc)
- Follows all Centurylink and local safety policies and guidelines
- Perform other tasks related to but not mentioned herein
What We Look For in a Candidate
- 4 years experience in logistics supporting federal contracts
- Certified to operate forklifts that reside at the Herndon facility
- Must have the flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors
- Good penmanship, written and can communicate effectively
- Strong people skills and team attitude
- Good physical condition - capable of standing all day and able to lift 50 pounds above the waist, safely
- Must have clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively and positively in a fast-paced environment
- Team player and able to prioritize workload for warehouse personell
- Provide excellent customer service
Education and Experience:
- High School degree or GED certificate
- 4 years experience in logistics supporting federal contracts
- Good knowledge of FAR requirements (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
Security Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation)
Compensation
| This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $62,061 - $82,748 in these states: VA Lumen offers a comprehensive package featuring a broad range of Health, Life, Voluntary Lifestyle benefits and other perks that enhance your physical, mental, emotional and financial wellbeing.
