The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Technician to join a collaborative team supporting telecommunications infrastructure and field operations. This role is ideal for individuals who demonstrate a strong learning mindset, curiosity, and a desire to build a long-term career in the field technician profession. Success in this role is driven by problem-solving ability, attention to detail, teamwork, and a willingness to learn from experienced mentors.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities within telecommunications environments.
  • Follow established processes, safety requirements, and technical procedures to ensure quality work.
  • Document activities accurately, including labeling, reporting, and maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues using logical problem-solving techniques.
  • Participate in onboarding, job shadowing, systems training, and ongoing development programs.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Manage assigned workload and responsibilities independently following training and development.
  • Provide a positive customer experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and quality service.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong learning agility and coachability.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently after completing training.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow safety requirements and established procedures.
  • Must be located within a reasonable commuting distance of West Chester, OH.

Preferred

  • Exposure to telecommunications, fiber optics, or outside plant (OSP) environments.
  • Basic understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and field operations.
  • Experience performing technical troubleshooting in a hands-on environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience documenting work accurately and maintaining detailed records.
  • Ability to contribute positively to team culture through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Interest in long-term career growth within field operations or telecommunications.
  • Positive feedback history from customers, coworkers, or team environments.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$41,310 - $54,570 in these states: OH
