The Role
SR DIR SALES ENABLEMENT FULFILLMENT & COMMUNICATIONS will lead the teams responsible for implementing and operating Lumen’s sales and customer success enablement programs in support of Lumen’s sales and revenue objectives. As a dynamic leader focused on operational excellence within the Marketing Programs team, your expertise and operational excellence thinking will be crucial in ensuring that Lumen’s commercial teams in Sales and Customer Success have the right skills, product fluency and capabilities to accelerate sales and revenue growth for the company. Overall, you will play a pivotal role in implementing comprehensive enablement strategies. You will build the ensure the professional readiness of Lumen’s sales and CS professionals in support of aggressive improvements in sales, revenue and related KPIs.
The Main Responsibilities
• Implements the tools, content and skills needed for our commercial teams to successfully drive exponential growth in sales and revenue
• Interfaces with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Product Management to understand the needs of the commercial (sales and CS) teams, uses data and feedback to measure impact of enablement programs and drive continuous improvement in sales fluency, etc
• Develops sales enablement programs to ensure world class programs that allow our commercial teams to meet and exceed industry benchmarks for key metrics including participation and close rates for our growth portfolio
• Creates a structure for coaching clinics to ensure sales fluency, participation and acumen
• Ensure sales and CS professionals are prepared to perform at world class standards in order to drive substantial improvement to sales and revenue
• Leads the creation of Sales Enablement Content against a world class bill of materials, understanding best practices for ensuring fluency in highly technical portfolio area including (but not limited to) Edge, Cloud, Security, Networking (including Network as a Service) and Unified Communications and Collaboration Ensures Sales and CS professionals have clarity around all aspects of their role, including the rollout of sales plans, compensation, account plans Enables communication plans to ensure there is process and entrance criteria clarity across the organization for enablement initiatives
• Ensures Sales and CS professionals are prepared to quickly, accurately and consistently foster leads and prospects developed through Lumen s Marketing campaigns
• Define the gold standard bill of materials for commercial team excellence
• Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other Enablement metrics to inform and make recommendations on future enablement investments and opportunities for improvement
• Develops Enablement programs for business critical ad-hoc and executive projects
• Leads Campaign Enablement, Skills Development and Coaching teams
What We Look For in a Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent. (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of relevant experience in B2B sales enablement strategy, with 5+ in a leadership role.
• Ability to successfully recruit, hire, develop, reward, and retain a team of highly strategic and specialized individuals.
• Expert in world class sales fluency, and sales framework with ability to align these to Lumen’s sales processes, overall business strategies, outcome selling, sales tooling, etc.
• Proven experience in enablement program development within the technology industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
• Creative thinking and a passion for innovation in enablement strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Strong team player with an ability to plan, influence and execute in a highly matrixed environment.
• Ability to react and adapt to changes in business priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$183,621-244,827 in all states.
