The Role
As a Principal Product Manager on Lumen’s Outbound Product team, you will lead complex programs that turn product and business priorities into execution and measurable outcomes.
This role is focused on bringing structure and accountability to strategic initiatives that span Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other teams. You will take broad objectives, define the work required to achieve them, establish ownership and measures of success, and drive execution across the organization.
You will work closely with product and business leaders to identify dependencies, resolve barriers, manage risk, and keep teams aligned around the outcomes we are trying to achieve. This is a senior individual contributor role that requires strong program leadership, business judgment, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence across organizations without direct authority.

The Main Responsibilities

Lead complex, cross-functional programs tied to key product, customer, and business priorities.

Turn broad objectives into clear programs with defined outcomes, workstreams, milestones, owners, dependencies, and measures of success.

Establish the structure, governance, and operating rhythm needed to drive execution across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and partner teams.

Identify risks, gaps, competing priorities, and decisions early, drive them to resolution, and provide leadership with clear visibility into where support is needed.

Lead programs supporting product launches, commercialization, customer adoption, migrations, strategic partnerships, and other key product initiatives.

Partner with Product leaders to connect product and roadmap priorities to the work required across the business, while bringing program, customer, and field insights back into decisions.

Use customer, product, operational, and financial data to establish baselines, measure progress, identify opportunities, and support decisions.Build repeatable approaches that improve how complex product and commercialization programs are executed across the organization.
What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in program management, product management, product operations, technology leadership, or related roles.

Proven experience leading large, complex programs across multiple teams, workstreams, and organizations.

Demonstrated ability to take broad or ambiguous business objectives, establish the program structure, ownership, governance, and measures of success, and drive execution.

Strong analytical and business skills, with experience using data to prioritize work, measure progress, and support decisions.

Strong communication and influencing skills, with experience managing risks, dependencies, and competing priorities while driving alignment with senior and executive stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking and routing concepts, with the technical fluency to lead programs involving network connectivity and effectively engage Product and Engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications

PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent program leadership experience.

Experience leading programs tied to product commercialization, customer adoption, migrations, transformation, or strategic partnerships.

Experience with cloud, AI, networking, digital infrastructure, telecommunications, or enterprise technology.

Experience working with technology partners and analytics platforms such as Databricks, Palantir, or comparable environments.
Compensation
| This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
